We carry PSS shaft seals, and a variety of gland packings from flax to "high-tech" packings.

PSS shaft seals are the secret to a dry bilge!

At G.M.E. we recommend them, especially, in hard to reach applications where it is difficult or impossible to perform routine maintenance on a conventional stuffing box.

Good examples are V-drives and installations where the prop shaft runs into the deep narrow vee of the hull.

GFO gland packing is the next best thing to a dripless seal, it is installed just like conventional flax packing and can be adjusted to give a virtually leak free seal.
